Plus 1 for the Mak 1 star. I would also keep Blazn, Kuma or Pitts and Spits in the running. Kuma is interesting as it is double walled and has a very easy direct grill feature.
After it stops heating Is there a big build up of unburned pellets left in the burn pot? If so sounds like you had a flameout. Could be multiple reasons ...smoking at to low a temp, pellet feed issue, not enough airflow (stack vent too low).

You can’t go wrong with a Yoder, solid units. If you value convienence and vesitility you will be happy with most pellet grills. My wife with zero bbq experience cooks on my pellet grill...enough said!
