A New Build: 24x30 Vertical Offset - A Custom Build For JLeonard!

Which model of Lincoln machine is it? When I was on a plant tour back in 2011 / 2012, they said all their inverter machines were made in Mexico or Poland. They still made their engine drives and large transformer machines in Cleveland.

    321 pork ribs tomorrow.

I have a question! When we are talking ribs, you see two types in the store. Back ribs and Side ribs. Are the back ribs also referred to as "Baby Backs" and the Side ribs referred to as "Spare ribs"? A lot of time when you buy ribs in a restaurant, they are Side ribs and not the same quality as...

    Insulated fire box

Hey! I thought this photo looked familiar......It is my smoker! First build and still going, but starting to dream about #2 out of a 60 gallon air compressor tank.

What are the latest brisket prices?

Man, you would hate to pay the prices they charge up here in Ontario, Canada! You don't find packer briskets in the grocery stores at all. You don't even find them at Costco around here. You would have to go to a Butcher shop....and if they had one or two......you would be paying around $9.99...

    WSM Melting?

For my first cook on my new 18.5" WSM, I did a double smoked ham at Easter. I did fill the water pan because I read that they run hot for the first while. I found that the steam produced by the water mixed with the soot and oils inside the chamber and were running down and out the vents. It made...

Anyone know a location to get the 32 quart pots for a good price in Canada?

I would love to know how this works out with rolling the metal. I don't currently have any equipment to weld aluminum, but was thinking of trying steel. Gonna be heavy though!

Maiden voyage of my new WSM!

dirtsailor, I plan to go with sand in the water pan for future smokes. I think the water creates to much humidity in there. I was surprised to see that there was still some water in there after almost 6 hours of smoking.

Maiden voyage of my new WSM!

trueteam, I was curious about the accuracy of the lid thermometer. I don't have all my smoking gear out and set-up yet, but that is something I am going to check out soon. One thing I did notice was some brown ooze coming out the bottom vents. I imagined this was condensation forming on the...

    20" Pipe RF Smoker

Thanks for the info Geo! Are those E6013's 3/32" dia? Takes a steady hand to run them along the edges like you did. The welds should be nice and strong though! TIG take s a lot of practice but is such a civilized way to weld!

    Jeff's Double Smoked Ham

Looks great! I too followed Jeff's recipe and was very pleased with the results! I also think I will look for a ham that is NOT spiral cut for next time. I think I would prefer to make my own slices.
