    Mine did the same thing about 6 weeks ago,  burnt wires and all.  I called MES and they sent me a new heating element, I have not repaired it yet but I am not sure how to get the back off so I can  replace the burnt wires.  I am hoping that is all that is wrong.  Just in case this fix does not...

    MES Window Cleaning Solution

    I spoke with masterbuilt this morning and was given an idea that I was told would work.  Put a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water in the water pan and turn unit on to 250 or higher for about an hour and half then wipe the window with the same mixture on a rag or paper towel.  Hopefully this help...

    How Many Mes Owners Here?

     I just retired my MES 40 Window Smoker.  The heating element went out after less than a year of smoking no more than 2 times in any month.  So if my math is correct it lasted less than 24 smokings or 120 hours.  I just bought another brand of electric smoker.  I will be breaking it in today and...

    SMOKER CLEANING

    Go to Dollar General and get the grease cutter for about $2.98 for a half gallon then dilute per bottle and put in a spray bottle.  Let it stay on a little while minute or so then start wiping with paper towels--also does a great job on the racks.
