I’m going to try lowering the P from 7 to 2
I did try running auto tune and it was a mess.
My trend lines went from nice and straight with maybe a 1 degree swing to all wavy.
I deal with control valves on a DCS every day, you’d think this wouldn’t be difficult...

My sausage smokes take about 6 hours so run time isn’t an issue. It just happened at a point where I was almost done ( the last step). I’m going to try changing it ASAP. I still have some deer left I could grind up but I need more...

Olaf, thanks for the reply. Once it gets to setpoint it holds great, but for instance, when I was smoking sausage Tuesday it was moving from 155 to 165 and was at 20% to 70% most of the time. It took over half an hour to get to 165. I just think it would be at 100% output until it got closer to...
I have an Auber PID WSD 1500 H-W and was wondering what input to adjust to make it not start “feathering “ back the element until it gets closer to Setpoint?

The S&P was really good when we tried the sample piece. This is the 1st time we have made it.
I documented the whole thing in the electric smoker forum and didn’t realize until you ask that I don’t have a full front view of it. How does that happen? I’ll remedy that tomorrow.
I do have some of it during the build though.
