Thanks everyone. It was long and tedious, and we have 2 kids under 3. It's been finished now for a little while. I've had brisket 3 times recently at bbq joints and nothing comes close to how good this was!- tarheel adam

The photo below shows me preparing to cast the roof of the smoker chamber. I used hardie backer boards to suspend the cement as it hardened.
