I just looked at this while at The Home Depot. Looks interesting but the build quality of the lid and barrel seems sketchy. Not sure of longevity. Other than that, I'm intrigued.

Lol, no, not either. I'm a retired 67 yr old milkman for pitty sake. There was a fellow on another forum I follow who had visited the LJ plant and while there they confirmed they mfg Cabela,s but the Cabela's blends blends were of their own. Just sharing info.
The Cabela's blends are their own but the 100% are LJ. I've been using them for the last year without issue, burn and smoke identical to the 100% LJ I had. Excessive pellet dust probably the handling I would assume but at any rate, sorry your experience was bad.....smoke on.
Can't speak to camp chef products but with my Inkbird wifi unit, it would only connect to 2.4ghz band even tho it would see my network. My router is dual band, 2.4 & 5.0. I had to go into my router and name both bands differently then log into my wifi with my phone to the specific 2.4 band. Once...
Had my 820 for a year now. Replaced the igniter once after rolling the Pit Boss across rough ground and cracked the igniter. No problems since. Regarding temp swings, replaced controller with Savanah Stoker 4.5 and now have swings of only about 5degrees +/-. Happy with it.
I have an PB820SC and at 499 (on sale last year July 4th) and a 5 year warranty it's a great value. I have constant temps with about a +/- 5 degree swing using a Savannah Stoker controller. Very happy with mine.
