I hope to catch a Black Friday sale on Amazon and pick up a baking sheet with a stainless cooling rack that fits inside it. I want to get something I can use in the house and on my smoker so I do not regret my purchase later. There are many brands and options, from metal to aluminum baking...
I was close to buying a pellet smoker about a year ago and covid screwed that all up with the delays and such. I kind of forgot about it until recently and started looking again. I'm now leaning towards the RT700 and had a question about the remote connection via smartphone.
Does the Recteq...
I'm looking to make me a few different flavors of chicken wings for Sunday. I haven't cooked anything in a while and figured that would be a good day to do it.
I'm going to try one recipe I found for Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings. It looks pretty tasty. The recipe doesn't show smoking them...
I did the same thing on several of my AC Legg recipes. Makes it a lot easier. Hopefully I did my math correctly and don't look like a imbecile. I have used it several times and everything turned out fine.
I probably shouldn't have said boiling. I put it in warm water and bring it up until it hits pulling temp. Then I throw the sausage into an ice bath. It seems to be the easiest way for me. You can follow directions all day long and never hit the temps, especially with a smoker loaded full of...
Some advice that I read on here once was to microwave wood pellets, if that's they type of fuel you're using, for a min or so and stir and microwave again. This gets a lot of the moisture out of the pellets so they'll burn better. I also have noticed that I have to leave the wood tray feeder...
I took a recipe that I've used in the past with good results and added some more components to it. Mixed it up about five days ago with Venison meat and waited till this weekend to cook.
Some pieces have been coming off and I really like it. It has just enough heat for my liking.
7 lbs meat...
I think the sage definitely makes it somewhat traditional. I was pretty impressed with it just because it came from mainly venison ground. When I make it again, I'm going to add more heat to it.
It's definitely a recipe to add to the books. You can't beat the simplicity of it for the flavor.
I can't and won't take credit for this recipe but I did want to pass it on. I found this while doing a Google search a few days ago.
We still have a lot of deer meat in the freezer from last season. I was looking for some ways to get rid of it and came across this. Basically six pounds of...
Seems like I tried it before and it just caught on fire. I tried many mods with my tray before I started using the amazin pellet holder. Makes life so much easier.
The Weber is dependable, durable and easy to control temps and will allow for long cooks without having to add charcoal. I've had mine for about 12 years or so and it can be cleaned up and still look brand new. Remember.. the bigger.. the more charcoal it will take. Sometimes I wish I had the...
