Wow those baby backs look awesome! I have never been able to get them to turn out like that. Trust me your Dad would be proud.
Those and the beef ribs are picture perfect!
Great tribute to what sounds like a great man. My Dad was my grilling influence as well. We lost him six years ago. Every time I fire up the grill or smoker I think of him and all the fun we had around the grill. Sorry for your loss, and again that sounds like a great tribute.
I would plan for 2 hrs per pound if you don't wrap it. I'm not sure how much time you will save wrapping it but I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a good guess. Keep in mind if it gets done early you can wrap it in foil then pack it in a cooler with towels and it will stay hot for...
Jerky is made with a little bit more heat than cheese. You start out at a low temp and gradually work up to get the beef dried out. I think your best bet might be to write down all the things you are interested in trying and do a search on the site for recipes or techniques for each of those and...
Wood smoker and stick burner would be pretty much the same. Cold smoking would be for cheese or bacon or fish anything under 100 degrees. I would say if you are ok with tending a fire every hour to hour and a half look into the offset smokers that burn wood or charcoal or both. If you want set...
You opened up a huge can of worms here. Do you want electric, gas, charcoal, stick burner? Do you want to tend a fire or do you want set and forget? Do you want to cold smoke? What is your price range? Not trying to discourage you but each person is different and each type of smoker has has its...
Wow that looks awesome! I have never tried lamb might have to grab some and throw on the smoker sometime just to try it. I won't tell SWMBO and see what she thinks.
Yes it fits the 22.5 kettle but won't fit anything smaller. Might just have to keep an eye out for a 22.5 WSM if you want it to use on the smoker. The pics on the box show it being used on a UDS also. Maybe have to build one of those to add to the collection lol.
Sorry it took so long to get rib o lator pics for you. Each shelf is 5" wide and 17" long. Haven't done ribs on it because I do those in my smoker. I have done country style ribs along with veggies. Also have done brats with peppers and some other stuff I can't think of off the top of my head...
Well she finally finished up. 19 hrs on the smoker. Couldn't get it off in one piece resting now but the piece I grabbed for testing purposes was heavenly.
