Thanks for the welcome, comments and, Mike243, the recommendations. I've shied away from pellet grills and smokers, as well as old time electric smokers. Perhaps it's time to think about at least electric.- SmokingInSouthFlorida

I left a worn Landmann Great Outdoors propane smoker in Virginia when I moved last year to Sarasota. I'm now in the market and was not happy on learning that Landmann went kaput last July.
