    MES Mailbox Mod! for use with AMNPS

    Search the forum, a couple of members have piped their vents outside an enclosed space. My MES is currently under the patio near our back door, but the smoke works its way into the house, driving my wife crazy, so I might do something similar. Here's a picture of a 3" duct I have in the vent hole.

    The 30 is about 5 inches more narrow than the 40. That puts the AMNPS snug against the heating elements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Amaze-n pellet box in a Mailbox

    I just did the mailbox mod with AMNPS for my MES 30. No fan needed. The heat rising up through the MES to the vent at the top will suck the smoke right out of the mailbox through the chip loader duct into the MES. It works great and is a very simple mod.

    Yes the 30" does not have much space at the bottom. It's more narrow than the 40.

    After this experience, I did a mailbox mod for my AMNPS. The mailbox mod works great.

    Thanks for info. I smoked a pork butt yesterday with the MES 30, mailbox and AMNPS. I covered all the mounting holes in the bottom of the box and left the 3 on the door I drilled wide open.
