    I built a vent for the top of the door on the fire box ,that's what it was missing, it allowed me to open up the bottom vent alow wing for a cleaner burn and allows the heat to run cooler

    The vent in the top of the door also helped me open the bottom vent more to achieve a cleaner burn

    I did a little more research, (creeping on other people's builds) and came up with this. I stayed after work and quick whipped up a vent for the top of my fire box door, thinking it's what I needed

    Watching, I just finished a 125 reverse flow and I'm having the same problem

    Also I was thinking I have the same expanded metal for the firebox, thinking maybe putting a piece of flat stock metalk down to keep the coals all together
