Meater Block Buyer Beware ***UPDATE***
YES!! That did the trick! I disconnected from the network I was connected to, did the factory reset on the MeaterBlock, set up my wife's phone to be a hotspot and connected to it (be sure to enable "Automatic" on Auto-Join Hotspot in Settings), and then set up WiFi on the MeaterBlock.
