I'm going to do my first brisket tomorrow, bought a small (3lb) flat, will do it on my electric Brinkman.
How long will it take to cook? I don't want it done too early, don't want to be waiting all night to eat either!
I'm sure we've all tried something that didn't work out well, share your experience and save the rest of us some wasted time (Experience with smoking meat, not first marriages etc. )
The wife was cleaning out the file cabinets and shredding old bills etc. I thought maybe, just maybe those...
I always follow the "Beers & Wheels" rule of thumb:
Two wheels, two beers.
Four wheels, four beers.
If I'm drivin' a semi, better get outa my way!
Just kiddin', I make it a practice to refrain from drinking & driving.
I decided I'm going to give those a try tomorrow for the Superbowl. Went the the liquor store to get some Capt. Morgan and discovered they had it in the airline size bottles which should be just enough for my needs; not much of a rum drinker, a half gallon would last me twenty years!
...that I drug the CharGriller out to the alley and power washed it. It was startin' to stink.
I did that only after I got the motorcycle out and spent an hour or so riding. Damn that felt good!
Next time I'll stick to plain ground beef. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as the first one.
It got done a lot quicker than expected too; I planned on 2.5 - 3 hours, it was at 170 degrees after an hour and a half. (Did it in my CharGriller)
I'm gonna go for it. If it turns out bad, there's always plan "B":
Pizza delivery.
Last time a made a loaf I put it on a disposable vegetable griller, couldn't find any today so I'll either put it right on the grate or some foil.
