    Thanks for the insight. Having heard reports that the WSM temps are largely unaffected by rain I was a tad concerned, but I never would have guessed that volume : surface area was a key difference here. Next time I'll make sure it's a good day, then I'll follow your tips and compare the results...

    Callow Smoker Back in Stock

    doesn't look like it unfortunately Wade. Just got this delivered on thursday and have it fired up at the moment - digital is reading 107 while the built in is reading about 80.
