    Thanks? Daveomak, but that doesn't answer any of my questions. I was already planning on inset the fb into cc and welding the rf to it.. but that doesn't solve my problem/question. Does the orientation of the FB matter? should it be 16"tall x 16"deep x 27" long, or can it be 27" tall x 16" deep...

    okay. The tank is 20" in diameter and 53" from weld to weld (length in this case), sitting horizontal. I plan on making the bottom of the tank ~30-34" from ground. I'm 6'2" so a tall smoker isnt a problem. My original plan for the FB was to make it 16"x16"x27" with the 27" (long side) horizontal...

    I have never seen a smoke ring

    PC Farmer. colorblind doesn't always mean you CAN'T see all colors. Just that you can't see certain colors when they are near other colors. I am also color blind, and only ever so often can I not tell the difference in some colors.. Usually corrected by my wife telling me my clothes don't...
