I am a retired dentist. I have been in the past a butcher (slaughter house to cutting room to retail store) a coast to coast 18 wheeler driver, a commercial pilot and flight instructor, and a US Naval officer.
In addition to cooking and eating I like to hunt and fish.
I have built my own flintlock rifle from rough brass castings, a lock I polished, blued and assembled, a barrel I draw filed the octagonal flats on and a curly maple plank.
I load my own ammo and cast my own bullets( I don't use cast lead bullets exclusively though).
I look forward to learning and whenever I can, sharing what I have learned from experience.
