From all the reports the Lone Star Grillz is superior to other pellet grills for smoke flavor. The only problem is they have a long waiting list, so if you need something fairly soon they may not be a great choice.
I have read all about the supposed turkey shortage this year and, at least in my area, it isn't happening. I just got my turkeys for $0.39lb, with plenty of selection, at Publix. Food Lion also had plenty of turkey's for $0.33lb but you had to buy $35 in groceries to get that price. There wasn't...
I got the EGO 18" saw https://egopowerplus.com/18-inch-chain-saw/ this year and have been really impressed with it. I already am invested in the EGO line of yard tools and the Milwaukee M18 Fuel tools, so it was very hard to choose which to go with but finally decided on the EGO. It is so nice...
I agree with bregent, I keep mine in the original bags stacked in my garage and have never had any problems. I think the moisture situation is a little overblown with good quality pellets. I don't empty the hopper in my Timberline 1300 between cooks and with 3 grills and a griddle, it can be a...
I have not been here long enough to be considered and old timer but I have been here for a while. I have also noticed the social media style change in the forum. That is why I don't post much anymore, If I have something informative to say on a topic, that hasn't already been said, I will post...
I have both BJ's and Costco memberships. I have had a Costco membership for over 30 years, from back when they were called Price Club. BJ's is much closer to me now, so I shop there more than at Costco but I still hit there every couple weeks. Like others have said I have the Costco CC and get...
How many do you usually cook for? The Classic will handle enough for 5, or 6 , easily in a pinch but if you usually cook for that many and could also use extra capacity for special occasions, then spend the extra for the Big Joe. I have had my BJ for many years now and I have never regretted...
You will never get strong smoke flavor from a pellet grill. I have a Traeger Timberline 1300 and I am very happy with it but it puts out a lighter cleaner smoke flavor than a stick burner, or a charcoal grill does. I think the better the quality of pellets used makes a bigger difference than the...
I live in VA and in my area we get outages frequently, so I have a 17KW propane powered, I have a 500 gal buried tank for the house heating, Generac generator set up to power most of my house during a power failure. I can't imagine living without it and highly recommend having backup power for...
You should check out the Pitts & Spitts grills. They have a roll top lid that would be very easy to use, with just an grabber tool, from a wheel chair. The P&S is also an excellent quality grill.
Unfortunately you are never going to get a lot of smoke flavor from a pellet grill, it's just not inherent in the technology. There are some pellet grills that do a decent job and you can get a smoker tube too add a little more flavor but looking at the design of that grill, I just don't see...
Cookshack website says the grills are nickel plated, I don't know how you missed that during your research. I agree at this price point they should be SS. Good luck with learning the grill, maybe you will start to enjoy it better.
