    Smoked some pork shoulder today. Same method, in fact covered up most of holes in the door. Using Traeger apple from HD as fuel.     It was previously raised on a U-shaped bracket, about 1" tall. I got rid of it completely in favor of legs.

    Reading the replies the logic to close off bottom holes makes sense. I haven't had a chance to test the new setup yet. On the day the pic was taken I was smoking brisket for the first time.
