It is a Hobart 210 MVP hooked up to 220. I had my voltage knob on 6 and the wire speed knob on 60. The chart in my the manual said for 1/4 inch it should be 6/60. My gas flow rate meter was reading 20 but I later noticed when I pulled the trigger it dropped down below 15 so I increased it...
By the way here is a picture of one of the sample welds before welding the firebox. I think it looks a lot better than the welds in the firebox. I think the problem was my gas flow wasn't turned up enough. I increased it before I welded the hinges

I'm new to fabrication. What are your air vent guides made out of and how do you raise them up to create the space for the vent to slide? Are there spacers under guides?
Did you mount your drain directly to the hole in the RF plate or do the juices drain into the bottom of the tank first?
I like how you bent the RF plate. Were you able to bend it by hand after you scored the bottom?
Thanks WoodyG. I read through the whole post and it answered a lot of my questions. I had actually book marked it a while ago when I was doing my initial planning and must have skipped over the smaller details on grate height, etc..
