    smoke hollow 34186g

    I picked up a smoke hollow propane smoker for free. Its missing a few parts and the burner doesn't work very well. I was thinking about converting it to a wood smoker but I have no idea where to start or if there's other mods I should do first? I currently use a "ECB" to do all my smoking but...

    I believe it is the 18 inch Weber grate. The one's that came with the grill are really cheap and flimsy. I can't find a 14 inch one.

    How deep should my fire pan be? I'm using a small grill for one and it's only about 2 inches deep with a raised grate.

    besides smoking meat I also pickup scrap metal from people. I have recently came across a older weber kettle  grill that Im taking the vents off to add to my ECB.
