    Looking for 2 cents

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the GMG DB. My first smoke was a couple butts. Used the smoking tube and they turned out rather well (less smoky than the COS i used to use, but i expected that. the only thing I can say I didn't really care for was the traditional "spoke type" grilling...

    Looking for 2 cents

Looked at the PS's today and while the chargriller was less expensive the GMG just looked like a better build for $50 more. As far as how often i use it ... Probably not too often (3-5/month) depending on how much jerky the wife goes through. It was one of her big selling points("smoker will pay...

    First brisket

Was looking at some brisket at the store and only 2 passed the "fold" test. This was the best looking one in my opinion (as inexperienced as it is). Opinions?

Thanks Ray. I was actually planning on trying to get some slices off then continuing smoking, and pulling the rest. Got a good deal on the butt (9 lb/$13), so i am not so worried about experimenting a bit.

    veteran griller/ novice smoker

Hey all,     Patrick here from the Louisville area. I have been grilling for a long time, and have recently jumped to new waters (smoking). So far, some of the posts i have found have helped me out a bit beginning with my smoker. I have a cheap little chargriller that i have recently bought...
