I did a test run to see how the pipe work held up and the temperatures. I started a little hot at first and the fan made some complaining noises, but eventually it kept a good steady smoke for 3 hours with minimal intervention required.

A new set up for me is to try my hand at cold smoking. Using the fire box in my drum smoker and piping the smoke (fan assisted) into an adapted whiskey barrel.
Anyone got any tips with a method like this before I spoil a load of food learning on the job?
