I bought that same smoker from the same place for the same price at the same time.  Havn't smoked anything in it yet but have it seasoned and ready.

Anyone tried using venison sausage in their abt? Just heard of smoking abts and was thinking about using some of my deer meat.

Thanks Bearcarver, I was hoping that was the answer. Question:  Does the AMNPS put out "thin blue smoke" when its working properly?  Or is it a little more dense than that?  I previously used a Bradley, whos pucks usually put out a thicker, whiter colored smoke.

The only addition I would make references the "FTC".  Foil, Towel, Cooler.  First wrap in foil, then wrap that in a towel and put the whole thing in a cooler.  I have done that before and it did a good job of retaining heat and moisture.  This is pretty much what you said, without the towel...

I just bought an MES 40 last weekend.  (I also bought a AMNPS that hasn't gotten here yet.)   My problem is that the wood chip tray is too small.  I will have to refill it numerous times during a smoke.  I have read some old posts about a wood chip retro kit.  I called Masterbuilt and they say...
