I have had my Chargriller with SFB about 5 years and only ever wiped it down with bacon grease once a year, I cook on it year round so I try and do it the beginning of fall, not sure if it hurts or helps but thats what my dad always did!
As do I, ended up using a sawzall to get it out. Those instructions make it sound like it just pops out, glad to know i wasnt the only one possibly cursing that thing!
Someone gave me an electric Brinkmann a few years ago, i agree with the above reply.It took FOREVER to smoke anything. I used it once or twice to see if it was any good and gave it away to my neighbor.
HA! I guess I did. They put the ribs in a tumbler with the marinade for 16 hours, then boiled them. Seems like a lot of waiting too me! They could have just smoked them and not wasted all that time!
So I am an avid watcher of Diners, Drive ins & dives. I watched a bbq one last night and a dude in Vegas (John Mulls Meats and road kill grill) boils his ribs in marinade so they didn't dry out and as he put it,"put something in the ribs". Has anyone ever heard of that or tried it? I boiled ribs...
