    Pellet grill searing.

Grill grates do an awesome job. Low and slow on the pellet grill, remove meat and crank up the heat, reapply meat for a great sear. I do this all the time on my green mountain grill.

Nice write up, I am glad you had such a successful smoke. BTW I am jealous of your no winter scenario.

First brisket in the pellet grill

A pellet grill/smoker will never produce as heavy of a smoke profile as a stick burner will. Adding a smoke tube will increase it from what you experienced however. If you use it as a grill as well I highly recommend using the grill grates product. They perform as advertised. Good luck

I got tired of fixing my MES and decided to spend the money to get a product that would last yet still have the convenience of use of the MES. I chose Smokin-It and have never looked back. That was 3 years ago and it has performed flawlessly without the need for repair. It is very solidly built...

I went with the Green Mountain grill and could not be happier. I added grill grates to it for great grilling. Mine has no problem reaching it's upper end of 500 degrees if that is of concern. It is a very well built unit. I decided not to get the wifi version, for me and my use I want to walk up...

    Small Garden in East Texas

I've planted tomatoes 3 times so far. All the moisture I guess has them turn yellow and get spots. Peppers are hanging on but not really growing. Green beans, corn, squash, carrots, all looking really good.

    Small Garden in East Texas

Ok gardeners this newbie has a question.  I started some plants from seed and they have been growing in the house using a light. I heard they need to toughen before planting them outside so I put them outside during the day on a wind protected side of the house this week. After a few days...

I'm trying my hand at gardening for the first time this year. Got a 8 x 17 area to work with. Planted onion, garlic, green peas, turnips, carrots, & lettuce so far. Nothing has really started doing much with the crazy weather and the winds are beating everything up too. I'm trying to follow a...
