I live in the woods of Louisiana, and it's not unusual to see deer, turkey, hogs, or black bear in my yard on a regular basis. I retired from a major oil company after working there for 41 years, and I'm living my dream; of being away from civilization, although it is 25 miles to the nearest supermarket. The peace and quiet is hard to beat in my opinion. The only thing I haven't done yet, is to purchase another bass boat and do more fishing. My wife loves to hunt and fish, and loves the solitude as well.
