I finally got the smoker done and delivered a month ago my friend is very pleased with his gift and it could not work any better, im very pleased with the outcome i just wanted to thank everyone for their help, im looking foreward to my next build now.
I cut the firebox to cooking chamber opening at 18w x 5.75 inches high that is in the tank. I need to know how long I need to make the baffle plate or how long does the reverse flow opening need to be. Thats where Im stuck. I think the notch height is corecct I did it like SOCALCOOKER post #29...
I had a chance to get out and do a little work on it today, I cut the CC to FB opening today, I just set the CC on top of the FB to look at the fit,tight fit and no gaps, haven’t decided to put the fire box door in front or on the side, just wondering how long does my RF plate need to be, that...
I finally got my tank back from sand blasting and had a little time to go out and work on my smoker, I’m getting ready to cut the end of the tank for my FB and was wondering what the height from the smoker plate to the bottom of the cooking chamber should be any suggestions would be appreciated...
Thanks it is a miller 252 love it the day I got that new welder I started that weld table it was a lot of work I drilled 147 1/2 holes in it for my clamps with a mag drill
Got a chance to get out in the shop this weekend, I made a few changes, dimensions of the box are:20 high, 18 wide, 18 deep. Door is 14 by 16, now just debating on how to do door hinges and vents, thanks for all your help.
