roll call on brands of pellet grill

I have a Pit Boss 820 pellet grill.      It's has enough room for what I normally cook and is only $399 right now at Menards.  I would love to some day own a more expensive one, but for my budget right now this is great.  I have smoked chicken quarters, pork butt, ribs and beef brisket on it...

Where are the Indiana members located?

I have been to the prized pig.  It was OK, but the burnt ends that I got there were a little dry.  I think it may have been because we arrived in the afternoon and they may have been sitting for awhile. Have you been to Frankie's, yet?  The one on Washington street in South Bend is very good...

    SECOND CHUCK EYE STEAKS

Too bad you don't have Meijer stores down there in Texas because Chuck Eyes are on sale for $3.99 this week in Indiana.  I have not had any problems ever grilling chuck-eyes and they have been my go to steak for the past couple of years.  I recently purchased a pellet grill and found that they...

    Birthday Brisket and SL Ribs

This past weekend I celebrated my 43rd Birthday with friends and decided to smoke a brisket and some ribs.  I started on Thursday night with a 15.1 lb brisket and injected it with some Beef Broth and then salted it and let it sit for about 24 hours. After letting it sit for 24 hours I rubbed...

    Wood pellets vs chip

I've used B&B Pellets that I picked up at Walmart and they weren't too bad.  I've heard that they are BBQ Delight pellets in different packaging, but they don't say that anywhere on them.

Pizza in the Rec Tec QView

That looks great!  I think I need to break out my pizza stone and try one on my grill.  I think mine only goes to about 500, but I think that should be warm enough.

    Pit boss 820

I bought my Pit Boss 820 a couple of weeks ago and I do notice some temp fluctuations of about +- 20 degrees or so, but I make sure not to watch it too long.  The food I have cooked so far has come out as well as I could expect.  I'll be smoking 4 pork butts tonight in it and I'll be sleeping...
