Thanks for all the replays so far. I am using the formulas from the link on the reverse flow page. For the fire box side. I plan on cutting the sphere part of the tank off and welding a straight plate there. Make it easier to put a warning chamber on the fire box

So im about to start my reverse flow smoker that will eventually be put on a trailer. I have access to a good stick welder for all my welding. My question to yall, are stick welders good for these builds or do I need to try and go for a mig welder instead.
