    I think they're having problems with some of the motherboards/controllers. My Mammoth was off by 30-plus degrees. They sent me a new controller but I haven't fired it up yet. They were very nice about the replacement although there was a wait while replacements came in. I still have my for sale...

    No. I think I'm gonna go back to my Cookshack. Seems like the chunks do better for me. I've generally been disappointed with the smoke from the pellet smokers I've tried. And like you, my Weber Performer (I'm on my 5th one) puts out more smoke, but obviously more difficult to maintain a temp in it.

    Good luck with adding wood. I never was able to get my hickory or apple to make any additional smoke. Seems like the top of the burner cover never got hot enough. I'm pretty disappointed in the smoker. Yes it has a lot of room, but the smoke isn't there. I've got mine up for sale.

    I'm in Stuart, FL and selling my Mommoth. only used 4 times. It's bigger than I need and doesn't put out as much smoke as I like. I've got the cover for it and a 40 lb. bag of pellets. $500 and it's yours. Pickup only.

    I might go with the cold smoker, but don't like having to drill the hole in it.

    SM045. I put a ton of wood in the box, still don't get enough smoke for my taste. Maybe it's my senior sense of taste and smell not working as well as it did. Thinking of maybe going to a vertical smoker.

    The mammoth has been out a while. Wonder why there aren't any reviews yet. I'm looking for something that will give me more smoke than my Cookshack, thought this might fill the bill.
