    IPad dies on external links

Perhaps it's the app (Google) that I use to access the site, but if someone link to a SMF thread no problem, yet all links to outside sites cause the app to close when I try to follow them. A minor annoyance to be sure, but I was just curious if anyone else experienced this issue. I'll try...

    IPad dies on external links

So any other iPad users out there? Does everyone else have the problem that outside links lead to the site crashing? I've experienced this numerous times over several weeks and am wondering if there is a fix? My best to you all. Many hanks for the generosity of the experts who post to teach...

    Tommy's World Class Chili

I used enough to cover about 1/2 (homemade and far better than any commercial product I've ever tried) then flipped it about 1/2 of the way through the marinade.

Just got half of a Berkshire (AKA Kurobuta) hog; Special considerations? What to do with "jowl bacon

Thanks JarJar, sounds like sound advice! Sorry for the delayed reply, I had to leave town for a business trip and haven't had any recreational web time. I'll be sure to let you know how the experiments go. If you're ever in the market send me a PM and I'll see what I can do to help.

Just got half of a Berkshire (AKA Kurobuta) hog; Special considerations? What to do with "jowl bacon

Hey everyone!  This is the first of what I hope will be many posts as I work my way through 1/2 of a locally-raised (irrelevant except for a personal quest to take my food away from the factories and back to the farmers and producers whenever possible) Berkshire hog.  For those of you who are...

First smoked T-day Bird, brined, injected, rubed, smoked, then baked

So...I planned to smoke our bird this year and made the mistake of mentioning this to my brother who was hosting the extended family dinner on Wednesday.  His reply, "That sounds fantastic.  Would you consider smoking one for our dinner?"  Now I love to cook, so normally this would not be a big...

    Smoked Elk Roast with Q-view

I've not posted for a couple of weeks, but have been active.  About 10 days ago I decided to smoke an elk roast: First, a dry rub with sugar, salt, pepper, fennel, thyme: Smoked it at about 150F for about 2.5 hours with hickory, then finished with a brown on the grill then indirect heat...

    Tommy's World Class Chili

Josh- If it is not too late, we used both. The only difficult part of the recipe is sautéeing all of those veggies in batches, but it is worth the effort. I happened to have a bottle of red wine on hand a deglazed my pan occasionally to make sure that I captured the depth of flavor presented...
