    RecTeq fast auger for 700*F

All the RecTeq grills do have the faster auger now....even the 700's though for awhile, the 700's didn't have it when the 1250 came out. I was able to call RecTeq and buy the faster auger. I just haven't made the time to install on my 700. You just have to lower the feed rate to get down to...

SmokeDaddy Magnum P.I.G and Pellet Pro PID upgrade for my PB Austin XL

I haven't looked at this forum or this thread in awhile. Time has passed and while I still like the magnum PIG, I've found myself using a smoke tube filled(alternating pellets/wood chips/pellets/wood chips) with wood chips and pellets. I also use the royal oak charcoal pellets instead of...

    Best Pellet Grill Under $3k

I am not sure about the fan speed. I believe it is only one speed however on low or even sometimes at like 225 in direct sun light, the fan will go off/on/off/on with a few second pauses. I almost always start my smokes on low for 30 minutes to an hour which does allow the smoke to stay in...

    Best Pellet Grill Under $3k

I have zero zero zero regrets on getting the RecTeq Bull with a bunch of accessories. If I had that budget(I was close but wanted lower), I would look at RecTeq, Yoder, Mak and Pitts and Smith. I always hear great things about Mak and Pitts and Smith and they seem to be like the best of the...

To Yoder or not to Yoder?

Just a different perspective to this however respect your perspective and understand it. First though, between a Yoder and Traeger....Traeger is not even in the same ballpark. Yoder all the way. Not even close.... I am a RecTeq Bull owner and Bullseye owner. So in some eyes, a RecTeq...

    Rec Teq*****

Great story! Love hearing these RecTeq stories. I've had great experiences with their customer service as well. This is one of the main things that sets RecTeq apart.

    my-oh-my.. what to buy?

The RT-590 or aka the Stampede has vents but the step up which is the Bull(what I have) has a chimney so depends on what you are buying. I went with RecTeq over Yoder for a few reasons but one of them being rust. I loved (and almost 2 years later still love) the idea of stainless steel. And...

    Broil King Pellets vs Other's

I believe that is non sense. Hopefully you can find some other options like a lot of us have in the states. I pay 50 cents a lb from a cookinpellets dealer and lumber jack, bear mountain, pitt boss are all under 50 cents a lb near me. I try to stay right around 50 cents a lb when buying.

    Upgrade my Traeger to What?

Another Recteq Bull owner and highly suggest it for the price/value/warranty. I agree with ostrichsak above. If money is not a concern, the top top tier pellet smokers are P & S, Mak, Yoder for home use. But if you are looking to get best bang for your buck, I highly recommend RecTeq's...

Smoke Daddy Pellet Pro Vertical Smoker

I apologize, RCAlan is right, i mean to reply to Jbinfla, not bill1 so apologies on the confusion. Jbinfla - I know the Big Kahuna is smaller but try filling it with charcoal instead of wood and then adding chunks. You may need to cut chunks smaller to fit but chunks are better than chips...

Smoke Daddy Pellet Pro Vertical Smoker

Hey Bill1, RCAlan and I and other have a long thread about the magum pig through smokedaddy on here. I wanted to throw in my 2 cents as I have a similar background as you. I started "smoking" meats on my gas weber with a smoke basket. Then I got a vertical propane smoker similar to yours. I...

    Which pellets leave less ash...????

When I switched from Lumberjack to CookinPellets, the ash was about half the amount or less. I was very surprised.

    Pellet smoker advice

Compare the materials. RecTeq is in a whole other league than Green Mountain. Green Mountain is more comparable Camp Chef and not knocking either one. I would recommend both of them for their price range.

    Pellet smoker advice

Give a strong look at RecTeq as others have said. I didn't give a real strong look at Yoder just because of the price. I could not get past the fact that it could rust within a year. If I had more cash at the time, I would of given it a stronger look but "if" I had more cash, I would of...

Weber SmokeFire - anyone get it yet

Besides the pellet hopper insert(which I'm guessing makes it less than 20 lbs. capacity), seems like they haven't done anything. They do need a whole new redesign which I doubt they will do right away. To me, it is a simple as this. This is a grill first and a smoker second. I don't think...
