I have had my MES for over a year. And i like it very much. The problem I had initially is that it is not very high off the ground. And it does not have wheels. I solved the height problem by standing it on four cinder blocks. Works great. I have smoked chiken, pork, beef in it, yet to try fish...
My last name Begins with "MAC" so when I was in the Army, for 20 years, I wasa always called 'mac". Even when I was a Sergeant.

Welcome Dale--
I also own a MES and have for over a year now. Actually, I have four grills/smokers; the MES, a Char Broil Gas Grill, a propane Char Broil Big Easy, and a Oklahoma Joe grill/smoker with an offset wood box. Have not used the gas grill for over a year now, but use the other three...

Yes, Sippel Hardware in University City, 513 Pat Booker Road. I have a good friend who bought a Trager from Sippel and they still get their pellets from Sippel. Give em a call, 210-658-4681. If you are a COSTCO member, at times they have a grill plus they carry the pellets.
Good Luck.
This is Kingmac from Live Oak, just outside San Antonio. I am a new member of the SMF forum, and now I am a part of a forum devoted to all things Texan. I am pleased to be here and learn more about smoking, grilling, and just having a great time and good eats.
I'm not a native Texan...
A great big friendly HOWDY Y'ALL from Kingmac here in Live Oak. I have been a great fan of BBQ using primarily charcoal and/or wood. I have a big grill with an offset firebox making it ideal for smoking.
Some time ago, I bought an electric smoker and have used it on numerous occasions, And...
