    Thanks Dave for the input! I am planning on cutting out the RF plate tonight. Currently there is no drain in this smoker and under the RF plate has never been cleaned out (need to fix this). In doing so, I can take some material off the RF plate to achieve the proper area at the end of the RF...

    Hello, I have recently received lots of wood from someone. They have no idea what kind of wood it is and there are no leaves on the tree to help identify. Only thing to go by is the bark. Any idea? Location of tree is southern Ontario Canada. Thanks in advance. Joe
