Well I finally got my trade done for the propane stove, to do a oven smoker. Turned out to be a Stainless Steel Maytag unit with 5 burners and a self cleaning oven. It has to be really cleaned up especially the stove top, this is where the SMF folks come in with their vast knowledge of all...
A couple of members gave me advice on sealing things up. I needed a door seal instead of the rope and glue. You could try a high temp gasket silicone RTV type. May work for you...
Also have a MF, was ready to chuck it then saw your thread on the door sealing. Did that but having trouble with the glue, no stickum. Did you use the glue that came the rope? Mabe if Chef Willie dosen't see this and someone else can help it would be appreciated.
I guess I'm in the wrong build forum, I'll move over to (other builds). Had a good look at what jonny was doing but If I go that route, all the parts may not go back together...
I have a 8 year old propane kitchen stove, everything workes. I'ed like to use the oven as a smoker, there is an internal fan, and it really holds the temp. Has anyone ever tried to do a build like this.
