    Pizza Ovens

What didn’t you like about? How do you feel they have improved?

    Pizza Ovens

Hello Been awhile so please direct me if I’m posting in the wrong area. I’m very interested in an outdoor pizza oven. Where do you suggest I even begin? Is there any real flavor differences in pellet versus gas? I assume Ooni is the most popular brand to consider, but do I need to research...

    Flat Tops - Grease splatter?

Thanks for the thoughts on leveling. I hadn’t really thought of that. Do you have any suggestions of what to use or how to best go about leveling if needing to move it around on a driveway that was slope?

    Flat Tops - Grease splatter?

Thanks. Interesting. I didn’t think of the wind shields helping with splatter. Do they come up, above the edges of the griddle to keep splatter down? Thanks. I was thinking that the hard cover hanging on the back of the 36” Blackstone would help some. Do you see much splatter above and beyond...

    Flat Tops - Grease splatter?

Thank you. Have you tried anything to clean the grease, or it’s just fading? I’ve got a concrete patio that is covered and then the driveway, so not sure about fading. Thanks. I guess I’m surprised to hear you don’t get much grease splatter. Do you do anything different or thoughts on why your...

    Flat Tops - Grease splatter?

Hello - I’m interested in finally joining the flat top revolution. My main concern is grease splatter. I’m worried about grease splatter and stains on our patio, drive, or house. Even with a mat beneath it, how much of an issue is grease splatter and stains? How do you address this with your...

Need Input - Keep new smoker?

Good morning It’s been some time since I’ve been on these forums, so appreciate your help in advance. Admittedly it’s been awhile since I’ve smoked much, unfortunately. Last night at a charity event, I won a new Masterbuilt 30 inch digital electric smoker. See the link for the model that I...

Frozen Pork Chops - Using Baldwin’s Tables

Thank you. To confirm I’m following, you are saying that once you use the frozen table, then use the times below to pasteurize? For example, if the frozen table says 2 hours, then after 2 hours, you would add say up 35 minutes at 140* for 12% fat?

Frozen Pork Chops - Using Baldwin’s Tables

Good morning I could use some guidance, please. Using Baldwin’s data and tables, do you have to add the time for frozen meat table to the time for pasteurization, for a total SV time if you are starting with frozen meat and want to go to pasteurization? Situation: I have frozen pork chops...

    SV Vessels

Merry Christmas, everyone. Thanks again for all of the help. Steaks turned out great last night! I used the larger Igloo cooler, with a baking rack on the bottom, with a rib rack holding the vac seal bags, with a larger jerky rack on top of them to ensure they stayed down (probably wasn’t even...

    SV Vessels

Thank you! Thank you. Shooting for closer to medium, rather than a medium rare, due to the folks joining for dinner. My plan is to run the SV at 134* and then sear on the Weber gas grill with Grill Grates.

    SV Vessels

Thanks everyone. Here is an update for my plan. Please let me know if you see any concerns or issues. 9 ribeyes sealed up. Two per bag, except one bag has three of the smaller ones. Have an old 52qt Igloo cooler. Put a baking rack in the bottom and then a rib rack to help stand the bags up...

    SV Vessels

Thank you. Is there a good way to confirm that a tote is heat and food safe? Should the tote have any specific designation or rating or material? I’m looking at the description and details of totes on the Menards website, and I don’t see anything one way or another that would tell me yes or no.

    SV Vessels

Thank you! I actually have this exact same tote for storing clean hunting close for deer hunting, since it keeps scent out. How do you determine if this tote or any other tote is OK to use? I thought I read that not all totes are OK to use, but I don’t know what the determining factor is.
