    Buying a new Pellet smoker/Grill

Forgot.  With the sale price, I paid $1435.50 for the grill not including the extras or shipping.  If you can get it for less, I don't want to hear about it. Ha.

    Buying a new Pellet smoker/Grill

Not at all.  I did not have a dealer nearby (live in NW Florida) so I had to go directly through Cookshack in Oklahoma via their web site.  It just so happened that they were having a sale going on, 10% off plus 2 free 20# bags of pellets.  So I think I got a good deal.  Had to pay $160 in...

    Buying a new Pellet smoker/Grill

I had the same dilemma.  Couldn't decide between the Yoder YS640 or the Cookshack PG500.  After careful and diligent research and consideration, I decided to go with the PG500.  I absolutely LOVE it.  It is so easy to either grill or smoke and does a fantastic job.  I couldn't be happier with...

    Charcoal vrs. Pellet smokers

I've heard that before about the bark.  Just ordered the Cookshack PG500, for the same reasons Gomez93 mentioned.  To get a little more smoke boost, I ordered the A-maze-n 18 inch tube filled with 1 lb of pellets.  They say just light it and lay it in there.  We'll see.

    Charcoal vrs. Pellet smokers

Thanks for the input.  I have been going back and forth between the two for about 3 weeks.  I see the beauty in both smokers, however, I agree that the direct grilling is a major plus for the PG500.  I really need to concentrate on 1 device.  My patio is getting full of grills and smokers.  One...

    Charcoal vrs. Pellet smokers

I currently smoke on a BGE and a Weber Smokey Mountain.  I've been thinking about buying a pellet grill/smoker, specifically, a Cookshack PG500 or a Yoder YS480.  Anyone have input on this?

I am in your same shoes.  Can't decide between the YS480 or the PG500.  Anything that pulled you to one or the other (pros and cons) I would love to hear about.  Thanks.

I am facing the same dilemma.  Can't decide between the Yoder YS480 or the Cookshack PG500.  Anything you can add would be appreciated.  Pros and Cons of each.  Thanks.
