    Thanks for the Welcome! I definitely can weld but am apprehensive of “wasting” good steel plates on a smoker build lol. i’ll have to keep my eye open for another box!

    Thanks! That was the answer I was afraid of! Guess I’ll be looking around for a bigger box to work with then! The plan was a base of charcoal with woodchunks for smoke.
