The half moon opening in the CC , does it have to be a half moon? or can it be a rectangle? and the feldon's calculator said I should use a 6 inch stack, would 2 3" stacks be fine? should I also make the firebox have a spot for fire bricks? I'm not sure I've never used a smoker with them...
Okay got it! Thanks for the info, I did baby backs this weekend and they were great, but I did notice a little darker than normal smoke ring. I'm going to give it the 2-2-1 next time! Thanks again!

I'm new here and love it so far! I'm also building a RF smoker and I noticed that they are cutting into the tank to install the fire box, I'm using a 275 tank and was going to mate the firebox to the side and cut the tank with the half moon, do I need to cut into the tank? I haven't...
They look AWESOME!!!!! Is the 2-2-1 method better for baby backs? I read about the 3-2-1 method for ribs, just wasn't sure if one was for pork and one for beef. Learning as I go!!
