I was bummed that I missed last years get together. Can we bring other stuff to smoke? I was thinking I would bring some Texas style hot links as well as a hawaiian fattie. Will there room in someones smoker?
What I am most thankful for is a wonderful wife and two great kids the love all the delicious things I am smoking, thanks to my MES 30 and A-maze-n products.
I have my mes cold smoker about 4 feet away so the internal temp is about 70 degrees. I just pulled the trigger on the 5x8 amps. Don't get me wrong the MES cold smoker is nice but with that apple wood the creosote is really bad.

The only problem I have is the chips get stuck and I have to push them down. It is like it builds up a lot of creosile and makes the sides sticky. Does anyone else have this issue, and how did you resolve it?

I have used just a regular scotch brite sponge and water. The key is to wipe it down while the smoker is still warm. In fact I wipe it down as soon as I take the meat out. You may have to wipe it down several times.

Those drums look awesome. I wish I could find some drums like that. Our local chain store which is Meijers only had a three pack of frozens drums that were about the size of a large chicken drum.
I have and you have to be careful. Make sure you keep the hose up. You get condensation built up and it will leak smelly brown liquid all over the side of the smoker and all over the floor. Now if you keep the hose short you might not have any issues. I now
