    I was lucky. I bought the gasket kit but haven't used it yet. I have a short video showing it to be "smoke tight".

    Size of charcoal basket?

    This is what I was looking for. It has a 2" clearance all the way around. I've had a regular Trailmaster and the basket I had made was too large and it burned out the firebox a little too quick. This is 10x14x7 inches. Perfecto.

    Ok Ok, I've figured it out. For this size firebox it should be 10"x14"x7". This gives the maximum efficiency of airflow and heat.

    This looks cool but how does the chimney draw? It looks too low to me. Also, I think if you leave a couple of inches open above the "heat deflector" it will be less sooty.

    Leave the stack completely open and control the air flow/temp with the vent on the firebox. You'll get it down!
