Retire public school band director in Connecticut - 33 years. Retired to Florida with the love of my life in 2016. Proud parents of three outstanding young men. Our youngest is serving in the US Navy as a submariner - PO2.
We have four beautiful grandsons, ages 10, 7, 3.5 and 5 months. We visit CT twice a year for 2 weeks each trip and have a blast with the grandkids.
My wife is a retired music teacher (band and chorus) and IT specialists. She was also a church choir director, music minister for 30 years. She is back to doing a church choir now that we are retired. She also teaches IT courses in our community. Her courses are always full and she has a group of private students she tutors.
Since moving to our new community, I have dusted off my trumpet (reason for the avatar) and am now playing in two bands. One is a 15 piece swing band were I lay lead trumpet. We do original and standard arrangements from the 30's and 40's (Big Band era) to pop and rock songs thru the 80's. The other band is a 9 piece studio type band (I play lead trumpet). We backup 4 to 6 vocalists and do a lot of 60's - 80's material. A lot of our arrangements are Motown types. A lot of rehearsal hours per week and we usually have 1 gig per month.
