    Blackstone Air Fryer - question

I wasn't sure how many might have it. Everybody I know just has the flat top as well - and they all really like it. When we get one in at a store and I have a chance to look at it, I'll try to remember to snap some pics and share in case anyone else has the same curiosity.

    Blackstone Air Fryer - question

Looking to get a Blackstone, and trying to decide between the standard flat top, or one that also has the air fryer. We don't do a lot of frying, but some tater tots/suzie q's/fries would be nice when we do burgers. My main question is how well the air fryers are sealed up. This thing will sit...

    Another Greek Marvel. . .Avgolemono!

Ham and cheese sandwich? I thought that was called "toast" in Greece? At least, that's what they brought me when I ordered a side of toast with my eggs for breakfast at the Hagiati Hotel in Edessa (visited in 2017). They were confused about my wife's request for syrup (she ordered French Toast...

Which charcoal brand do you use?

I've seen that brand in the stores, wasn't sure about it - never heard from anyone that had used it. I'll be sure to give it a try, if it's just as good or even close it'll be a good alternative. Thanks!

Which charcoal brand do you use?

For the kettle grill, I don't mind using Royal Oak and often will mix with pre-burned B&B briquettes from the WSM that have life left in them. I like B&B briquettes in the WSM because they're larger and burn for a good while. They've always been pretty consistent for me. However, this summer...

That's a lot of math! lol Thanks for the link.

Why are pit fireboxes typically offset? Education needed...

Great info on the RF offsets! Unfortunately, I've not seen one in action. Everyone I know / hang out with has either electric, WSM, or a cheap offset. So I always hear about the temp differences on the offsets and watch them play musical chairs with the meat, moving it around the hot spots. Thus...

Why are pit fireboxes typically offset? Education needed...

I can see how adding fuel would definitely be easier in an offset vs squatting down below the pit. Good point, for some reason I completely overlooked that!

Why are pit fireboxes typically offset? Education needed...

I've mostly had smaller vertical smokers, currently use an 18.5 WSM (regret not getting the 22.5), but when looking at non-vertical pits I notice nearly every one is an offset firebox style. Why is this? I did find one manufacturer that makes a T-style pit with the firebox below. This design...

Controlling Flare Ups when using Smoker Box on Genesis E-310

Just got the Weber smoker box for my Genesis 310, and the maiden "smoke" with it was going well... for a while. I just threw on some sausage and veggies, and put some pecan chips (soaked for 20 mins) in the box just to try it out and get a feel for how it works without the worry of ruining any...

What're YOU smokin this weekend? How? Why? Method?

Got a couple chickens on sale, 77 cents/lb. Gonna smoke them up today (using up some vaca before I lose it). Probably do one chipotle lime, and the other I haven't decided yet.

Embarrased to ask this question, but am I using my smoker right?

I had the same issue first time I used mine.  After that one, I ditched the water and lined the pan with foil and added sand (about 3/4 full).  In other smokers I've had, I never did like water so much but tried it in this one just to see.  Personal preference I suppose, some like it some don't...

Everyone else is doing 'em, so...

Thanks for the compliments!  For my first run, it turned out better than I thought it would.

What is this "Fatty" you speak of? Q-view

Thanks for the info!  I'm thinking some hashbrowns are going to make their way into my next one...

What is this "Fatty" you speak of? Q-view

That bacon weave is tight!  Nice work! My question is how did the hashbrowns turn out in there?  Did you use frozen, or did you shred them fresh?
