Thanks for the info. I am in the middle of pour a foundation for a new home so I could use the extra concrete to pour a pad. Wanted to do that to keep snakes or other creatures from getting in. Was not sure if some put wood and had fire in the bottom of these for cooking or other uses.
I am getting ready to start my first smokehouse build. I am going with the nice build with the block bottom with house on to and storage and fire box on the side, My first quest to start is is it better to leave a dirt bottom or concrete it before laying the block?
