That's what I did with my ST1460, but I put a warning tag on the ST cord saying not to plug directly into wall, as it would now be on 100% of the time and no longer thermostat controlled.- bigtex52

Pellet Dump/empty function?
Buy yourself a "Bucket Head" vacuum from Home Depot (<$25). It fits on a standard 5 gallon bucket (not included). It takes about 5 minutes to vacuum the pellets out and bag them. I have never had pellets swell and jam in the auger tube, but after the pellets sit in the bin for a while they...- bigtex52
