    I agree that the Stainless Steel is a pain to clean, but it does look nice. I also like seeing the smoke in the chamber.

    How can I smoke?

    Hi Everyone I have a MES 40 electric, Gen 1, glass door.  I have Jerky and a Butt ready to smoke, they are seasoned and in refrigerator, and it is raining. Can I cover my control panel with something and start my smoker in the  rain? Should I wait it out? Thanks beartoo

    I also have my first batch of ground beef jerky in the fridge waiting for smoking in my MES in the am. Can't wait for the smoke to come out of the vent. Take Care Beartoo

    I bought mine about a month ago on the Walmart web site, best price I could find on a 40". I made a rack of ribs and a pork butt, they both came out great. Can't wait to smoke some more, maybe jerky this Sunday.

    Got my 40" yesterday, seasoned it then today smoked a rack of ribs. Can't wait to get the butt out of the refrigerator and into the smoker.
