    WSM as a grill

    I never thought of that....I wonder if they sell bigger coal grates then? Currently I do not think the coal grate will span the entire gap.

    I think my main issue on why my charcoal was not lasting very long was how much I used for a starter?? I did use a full chimney on top of a full ring. Maybe next time I'll just count out 10-12 pieces of charcoal and see how that works.

    Thanks for the advice! I just want to have great BBQ without having to break the bank. The more I look into all the tools and "toys" you can definitely spend a small fortune if you didn't do any research.
