Grew up in the mountains of CA. Moved to Kauai, Hi right out of high school in 1966 to go surfing whenever I wasn't working. 50 years in the entertainment business, first as a roadie for Janis Joplin and Big Brother, then the motion picture business. Worked on every continent and studied the ins and outs of cooking with fire above ground and under the ground in every country I spent time in.
