  • The Pennsylvania Deer Bologna is nothing special in my book. After you eat a few chunks you can feel some heat but it doesn't have enough flavor for me. Not saying that it might activate your taste buds but I won't be buying any more after this batch is gone.
AFTER SMOKING ON MY TRAEGER EVERY TIME , DO I NEED TO EMPTY OUT THE PELLET CHAMBER. EVEN IF I HAVE A HEAVY DUTY COVER OVER IT. I DO EMPTY WHEN WINTER TIME. BUT DO I NEED TO EMPTY EVERY TIME I USE THE GRILL.

It has been found that residual dust from the pellets can cause a back draft when ignited creating the pellet hopper to catch on fire.

I always empty the pellet hopper on my Camp Chef Woodwind and also vacuum and blow out all the remaining pellets and dust in the auger tube.

Precautions that have served me well. Never a problem with burn back!
    I hope this helps.

I don't empty but I put in garage after use. Humidity is going to be the big thing. I may start removing when season progresses. Gets quite humid here July/August
