What direction do you carve a Turkey breast

Discussion in 'Poultry' started by schultzy, Sep 3, 2007.

  1. Do you remove the breast from the bird and then slice perpendicular to the breast bone or parallel to the breast bone. Or does it really matter.

Personally, I think whatever you like, is the best way. I leave it on the bird to slice. People don't seem to like it when I can't hold the meat and slice it without also cutting my finger[IMG][IMG]

Both work. I prefer to remove the breast from the carcas and then slice. I feel like I get a better looking product then.
